The Commodore 64 personal computer was a a revolutionary home computer system.

The reason the C64 was so successful? There are many! Firstly, it was cheap. For under $500 you could purchase a full powered home computer system, complete with floppy drive and software, all ready to be instantly plugged into your TV or optional commodore monitor.

Secondly, it had a LOT of games available for it, and the games were great quality. Software & game designers all jumped at the chance to come up with the latest hit for the 64, and this meant a wide variety of choice for Commodore 64 Fans. Copied games were common, as hackers worldwide would 'crack' games so they could easily be copied.
