Successor to the original Sony Playstation, the PS2 was released in march on 1999 to become the best selling games console to this day. More then your average games console, the Playstation also plays DVD's and can be fitted with a Hard Drive for storage expansion.
Controlled by the 'Dual Shock' 2 Controller, and backwards compatible with most original Playstation 1 games, this beast of a console became quickly popular. Sony repeatedly modified the casing and inner architecture, later releasing a 'slim-line' version which was almost half the size.
