The Nintendo 3DS hand-held console is the first gaming console to offer true 3-D gaming without the need for glasses. The top display on the 3DS is in 3-D Stereoscopic vision, giving elements within any game depth and space and immersing the game player deep within the action. This gives the player the feeling of being 'in the game', and opens up a new style of intuitive gameplay.

The 3-D effect can be adjusted to suit individual tastes, or completely turned off all together. All 3DS games are 2-D compatible and still look great. The 3DS has also been fitted out with gyroscopic & motion sensors, and players can physically control the game by tilting left, right, up and down, backward & forward. This is much like the sensors & game play featured in the iPhone.
